What Are Veneers?

Veneers are thin layers of porcelain or composites designed to fit over the top of your teeth and are used to improve the appearance of your teeth.

Do I need veneers?

Veneers are great for people who have:

  1. Misaligned teeth
  2. Severe discolouration – e.g. resulting from a root canal or smoking
  3. Misshapen teeth - either chipped or broken down.

How long will the procedure take?

The whole procedure can take up to two visits – the first visit is, most likely, to prepare the tooth for the veneer and this could require the slight removal of enamel to make your teeth the same size.

On the second visit, you’ll see how the veneer looks on your tooth, then they are bonded with a special oral glue.

How long will they last?

Veneers should last for some time, however, they can chip and break just like your normal teeth.
